4th cinema digital seoul_film festival CinDi calls for Entries! Deadline for Submission, May 31st, 2010
4th cinema digital seoul_film festival, which will be held from August 18th to 24th, 2010, launched a new ‘Butterfly Project’ to discover and promote Korean talents that will lead the future of Korean cinema. 15 short or feature length films will be screened during the festival and 3 of them will be selected to co-plan and codevelop his or her next project with CJ Entertainment. Meanwhile, Movie Collage Award will select 2 films out of all the films screening in the festival to support theatrical release at CGV Movie Collage screens with P.R. and marketing. Eligibility
- Asian Competition Films by Asian directors who have made less than 3 feature length films. Running time should be 60 minutes or longer and the film must be shot in digital over 70%. Films of all genres completed after January 1, 2009.
- Butterfly Films by Korean directors shot in digital over 70% that are not theatrically released in Korean cinemas. Submitted feature length films should be 1st, 2nd or 3rd feature length films of the directors. In case of short films, the director cannot have more than 3 feature length films in his previous filmography. Films of all genres completed after January 1, 2009.
Awards_Competition - Red Chameleon Award 1 Film | A trophy and a cash prize of KRW 20,000,000(approx. USD 1,800)
- Blue Chameleon Award 1 Film | A trophy and a cash prize of KRW 20,000,000
- Green Chameleon Award 1 Film | A trophy and a cash prize of KRW 20,000,000
- White Chameleon Award 1 Film | A trophy and a prize Award_Butterfly
- Opportunity of planning and development of items for the director’s next project with CJ Entertainment with a contract deposit of 10-million(approx. USD 9,000).
※ Korean Films in Asian Competition section can equally be candidates for Butterfly Award.
